NEW AMSTERDAM: Ryan Eggold Previews Max’s Reunion with Luna
March 23, 2021 by Marisa Roffman
As things slowly get back to normal, Max (Ryan Eggold) debates bringing his young daughter, Luna, back home to live with him on the Tuesday, March 23 episode of NEW AMSTERDAM.
“He’s left Luna with her grandparents, with Georgia’s parents, for her own sake, to try to protect her from this virus and from him working in the hospital every day,” Eggold says in the video below. “But then there’s guilt and questions of, like, ‘Am I doing the right thing? Should I be bringing her back? Am I a bad father for leaving her there? And am I not around enough?’ All those questions.”
As he deals with that, Max is still coming to terms with being a widow. “Of course, his wife that he had planned to co-parent with isn’t there,” Eggold notes. “He’s [still] grieving her loss and figuring out how to be a single dad and all this stuff—and juggle the hospital in the pandemic.”
