April 6, 2021 by Marisa Roffman
GIRLS5EVA—the new comedy starring Sara Bareilles, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Paula Pell, and Busy Philipps—will debut Thursday, May 6, Peacock announced. All eight episodes will be released at once.
According to the streaming platform, “when a one-hit-wonder girl group from the 90’s gets sampled by a young rapper, its members reunite to give their pop star dreams one more shot. They may be grown women balancing spouses, kids, jobs, debt, aging parents, and shoulder pain, but can‘t they also be Girls5eva?” Meredith Scardino created the show, with Jeff Richmond, Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, David Miner, and Eric Gurian serving as EPs.
