THE CONNERS: Lecy Goranson and Bruce Rasmussen on Becky’s Sobriety Slip-Up
April 7, 2021 by Marisa Roffman
THE CONNERS’ Becky (Lecy Goranson) hit a road bump in her sobriety on the last episode of the ABC comedy.
On the March 31 episode, Becky went out to dinner with an old friend—who causally bought her a drink.
“[Becky] thought it was an anomaly in the same way that she had a nice dinner—that it was just kind of an event that was an isolated event,” Goranson admits. “To say that it didn’t have significance is wrong, because I think she did feel that it had significance, but I think she thinks it was just kind of a one-and-done situation.”
But as things get tough for Becky—as she attempts to juggle work, school, and motherhood—will she be able to return to her sobriety?
“She really believes that she is going to be able to keep it under control,” THE CONNERS executive producer Bruce Rasmussen teases.
