LISEY’S STORY: Watch the Trailer for the Stephen King Adaptation
May 11, 2021 by Marisa Roffman
Apple TV+ has revealed the first trailer for its take on LISEY’S STORY.
The series, adapted from the Stephen King novel by the same name, “is a deeply personal, pensive thriller that follows Lisey Landon (played by Julianne Moore) two years after the death of her husband, famous novelist Scott Landon (played by Clive Owen). A series of unsettling events causes Lisey to face memories of her marriage to Scott that she has deliberately blocked out of her mind.” LISEY’S STORY also stars Joan Allen, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Dane DeHaan, Ron Cephas Jones, and Sung Kang.
While King’s work is frequently adapted, this marks a rarity, as the author wrote the series himself. The first two episodes will drop on Friday, June 4, with the rest of the eight-episode run debuting weekly.
