LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT: ‘Post-Graduate Psychopath’ Photos

May 20, 2021 by

Henry Mesner (played Ethan Cutkosky) is back on the Thursday, May 20 episode of LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT.

“It’s so interesting, because you always wonder what happens to a kid like that, going into an institution,” showrunner Warren Leight recently teased. “Will it turn them around? Sometimes it can. But, sometimes, these kids go in, and they view the whole process of their time there, as we call it, grad school for psychopaths, where they learn how to mimic empathic behavior. They learn what normal behavior looks like, and should feel like, and how they should experience it. And they mimic it in order to get out; that’s another outcome. And it’s looking like Henry has done that.”

This episode was really just okay. Feels like SVU is losing steam, and possibly even jumping the shark. The original “Born Psychopath” episode was far better and much creepier. Also, where was his family, and why did they use different actors for the sister and father? The mother randomly dies in a car accident? Wha? Ethan is a pretty good actor. Loved him on Shameless, but that smirk from the original Psychopath episode felt like shtick here. Just sayin.
