NBC Cancels ZOEY’S EXTRAORDINARY PLAYLIST

ZOEY’S EXTRAORDINARY PLAYLIST won’t return for a third season on NBC, a source has confirmed.
The musical series ended its run in May, with a quasi-cliffhanger as Zoey’s (Jane Levy) powers seemingly transferred over—or at least were shared—by someone close to her. NBC had delayed its decision on the series’ future and tried to boost viewership, including with a full-show run on E! over Memorial Day, but they opted to not move forward with more.
Reportedly, a deal to move the series to streaming platform Peacock fell through; its studio Lionsgate is still shopping it around.
