About Last Night…PRESS YOUR LUCK, CRIME SCENE KITCHEN, and CARD SHARKS
July 1, 2021 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!
PRESS YOUR LUCK: The interesting issue of having a specific episode geared toward a holiday means you can’t really bury it if it doesn’t go as the producers might hope. If it hadn’t been branded, I expect they probably would have aired an episode with a bit more winnings? But, hey, at least Natalie won more during her initial rounds than she did in the final ones.
CRIME SCENE KITCHEN: I appreciated how excited the contestants were for Aarón Sánchez to guest judge…and also that he actually gave input/warnings while they were cooking. I get it could be nerve-racking, but if you see a figurative car crash on the horizon and you don’t at least try to warn them—within the restrictions of the competition—isn’t that the kinder thing?
CARD SHARKS: This was the second of three orphaned episodes, and with all due respect to the contestants, it kind of makes sense why this episode was abandoned. The players were fun, but neither finalists won huge jackpots. It was aggressively fine.
