LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME: Dylan McDermott to Return for Season 2

Dylan McDermott’s Richard Wheatley isn’t quite done causing mayhem on LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME—the actor has signed a deal to return for season 2 arc, a rep for the show confirmed.

Wheatley, a crime boss, was the focus of the Organized Crime task force’s attention in the first season of the L&O spinoff, as Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) suspected the man was behind the death of Stabler’s wife, Kathy (Isabel Gillies).

Though the team was able to take down Richard—and his children—by the end of season 1, Wheatley offered to help prosecutors get to other criminals as a way to potentially secure his own freedom. (What Richard doesn’t know is that his son, Richie, made an attempt on his life.)

Deadline was first to report the casting.
