GREY’S ANATOMY: Peter Gallagher to Recur

Peter Gallagher is checking into GREY’S ANATOMY, a rep for the show confirmed.

Gallagher will play Dr. Alan Hamilton, who crossed path with Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) in the season premiere. Dr. Hamilton also had a past with Meredith’s mother, Ellis (Kate Burton). (Burton, whose character died in season 3, will also be returning to the show for an arc.)

Prior to this GREY’S arc, the actor recently appeared on ZOEY’S EXTRAORDINARY PLAYLIST, GRACE AND FRANKIE, and LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT.

Deadline was first to report the casting.
