LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME: Danielle Moné Truitt and Tamara Taylor Reflect on Their Favorite Season 1 Scenes

Though LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME’s first season was only eight episodes, the show gave its performers a lot to work with.

In looking back at the freshman year, Danielle Moné Truitt pointed to the scene in the penultimate episode hour—where Bell and Stabler (Christopher Meloni) confronted Richie (Nick Creegan), who killed Bell’s undercover agent, Gina (Charlotte Sullivan)—as one of her favorite moments to portray so far.

“It was great,” Truitt said in the video below. “It was one of those [scenes where] I wouldn’t say, ‘Ooh, this is so fun,’ but it reminded me of why I love to do what I do, and it made me so grateful to have cast mates and members who are there with you and open and want to give and feel that connection.”

“That’s what I love about our cast: all of us are so giving to one another,” she continued. “I felt like a big sister with Nick; I was just so proud of him. I think we were all cheering each other on, even while we were shooting it. That was probably my favorite.”

Tamara Taylor, who plays Angela, pointed to the events in the sixth episode, “I Got This Rat”—as Angela’s role in the death of Stabler’s wife, Kathy (Isabel Gillies), was revealed—as being a memorable point for her.

“I think my favorite was probably the [scene] that scared me the most,” she said. ‘Which was the scene in the holding cell between Stabler and I, where I sort of explain why [Kathy’s death] happened and there was a lot going on there. So that felt really sort of deep and fun and scary and surprising. And I think as actors, those are the moments we live for.”
