THE ROOKIE Season 4 Premiere: The Search for Lopez Takes an Unexpected Twist

THE ROOKIE – “Amber” – An Amber Alert sends the team on a race against time to find a newborn infant who was stolen from a local hospital. Meanwhile, Officers Jackson and Chen work their last shift as rookies as Officer Nolan continues on for 30 more days on “The Rookie,” SUNDAY, APRIL 4 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. With THE ROOKIE’s Angela Lopez (Alyssa Diaz) kidnapped on her wedding day, the team immediately set out to find her, but discovered a horrifying twist: Jackson (Titus Makin Jr.) was also captured and immediately executed.
Despite the loss, the team had to work through their grief to find the pregnant Angela before La Fiera (Camille Guaty) could go through with her plan—take the unborn baby to raise as her own.
Ultimately, the team was successful, thanks in part to Angela being drugged into preterm labor as a way to help get her out of La Fiera’s compound (and the team was able to undo the effects when she was safe with her colleagues)…though the cops don’t know that a key detail from Wesley (Shawn Ashmore) came from him making a deal to become a dirty lawyer going forward.
The show then flashed forward three months, to Angela bringing home her healthy baby boy. Later, she visits Jackson’s grave, and she reveals she named her son after him.
