Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!

FBI: My God, what a terrifying position to be in for Jubal. Honestly, he’s lucky Isobel or Rina didn’t pull him from the case. I’m really glad he—and the show—was able to walk the line of Jubal being understandably petrified and being willing to do anything to save his son, while also not crossing a line that would make it impossible for him to keep his job. I really loved this episode; a top 10 of the series for me.

[For more on the hour, here’s what Jeremy Sisto had to say.]

THE VOICE: Seriously, it’s the season of groups and duos. What talent The Cunningham Sisters have. (Also between them and Holly Forbes, Team Kelly had a strong, strong episode.)

FBI: INTERNATIONAL: I can’t get over how gorgeous Budapest is. It’s incredible what shooting on location has done for the look of the series…it looks like no other procedural.

So, um, how soon should we expect Scott’s mom to show up? Right now, I’m placing my bet on by the season 1 finale, at the latest.

LA BREA: Well…this is a show that exists.

NEW AMSTERDAM: I know the idea is that the show is embracing joy, but, uh, is anyone feeling a lingering sense of dread? To be clear: Helen and Max deserve joy. And this could just be the figurative honeymoon period! (I hope it is.) But with Helen’s doubts and the very big move on the horizon—which, let’s face it, is not going to happen in any real capacity since it’s still a television show that needs to stay within its structure—it just feels like things are about to go wrong in a real way.

FBI: MOST WANTED: I was fascinated to see how the show handled a very real, sensitive ripped from the headlines story like the Capitol attack, but I was really impressed. They didn’t make it political, but they also didn’t shy away from how it impacted the agents, especially as they watched the footage.

Also, I was absolutely expecting Travis to shoot Jolene when she left him to run to her son; I’m glad Ortiz was able to take him out, first.

(And…Tali is growing up so fast!!)
