LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME Exclusive Clip: Watch Stabler Reunite with His Mom

Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) has to rush into work for an unexpected reason on the first hour of Thursday, September 30th’s two-episode block of LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME: his mom is there, waiting with Sgt. Ayanna Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt).

In the exclusive clip below, Bernie Stabler (Ellen Burstyn), who has had a difficult relationship with her son over the years, is clearly confused by Elliot’s undercover look…and where he’s been.

“Why are you hiding?” Bernie asks.

“I’m not hiding, this is work,” Elliot says.

“You were gone, you left,” Bernie insists. And while Elliot notes he did live in Rome, he also assures her he visited about four times over the decade he was gone—which prompts Bernie to remember Kathy is now dead.

“The story that we’re going to tell is largely about making things right, which can’t always be done,” ORGANIZED CRIME showrunner Ilene Chaiken previously teased. “Reconnecting, taking responsibility, and, from both character points of view, seeking redemption—or at least understanding.”

The drama also has a second episode, “The Outlaw Eddie Wagner,” airing at 10/9c, as Elliot finds himself dealing with another personal issue.
