“Nine Ten” – As members of Bravo team travel to New York City, they reflect on a day that shaped each of their lives forever, on the CBS Original series SEAL TEAM, Sunday, Oct. 24 (10:30-11:30 PM, ET/10:00-11:00 PM, PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+. On the Sunday, October 24 hour of SEAL TEAM, Bravo travels to New York, as the team reflects on the events of 9/11.

“That’s an episode we’ve wanted to do, [in] the back of our minds, for a few years now,” SEAL TEAM executive producer Spencer Hudnut shares. “With this being the 20th anniversary of 9/11 it felt appropriate given what our show is, and, truthfully, given that the show may not exist without that horrible day.”

“That episode is really about connecting with our characters and seeing how that horrible day impacted them, in some ways, through a direct line to where we found them in the show, and, in other ways, really helps inform the people that they became,” he continues. “So it’s really an episode about reflecting and remembering how much that changed all of us truly. It’s not an episode about what that day did to five Navy SEALs; it’s about what it did to everybody.”

To craft the episode, which includes flashback elements, the show recruited a familiar director: former series star Jessica Paré.

“Having Jessica direct it, I was so grateful that she was able to do it,” Hudnut says. “We meet each of our characters back in 2001, which meant bringing in a whole new cast to play our cast. And because Jessica knows the show so well, [and] because as an actor she was able to connect with them, she did a fantastic job.”

The series also traveled to New York to film elements of the hour. “For us, personally, the best part about that episode is that we were able to take our cast and shoot at Ground Zero,” Hudnut says. “[We] just pay tribute to those we lost. It’s a really powerful and emotional episode, one that we’re very proud of.”
