About Last Night…FBI, NEW AMSTERDAM, FBI: MOST WANTED, and More
November 10, 2021 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!
FBI: Poor Tiffany. She has straddled the line of her former NYPD allegiance with her present-day allegiance to the FBI, but having to deal with detectives being shot and hearing a cop lied and was determined to keep the secret? I’m glad she did the right thing, but feel awful for her she was put in that position. (But, man, I’m loving her partnership with Scola.)
THE VOICE: With all due respect to the people who sang for their lives, Hailey Mia was absolutely the right person to save. She’s been crazy-impressive so far, and her rendention of “Jar of Hearts” was really incredible.
FBI: INTERNATIONAL: I say this every week, but: Tank for everything.
Forrester’s kindness toward Bridget was both so sweet and broke my heart. It makes sense he’s looking for his mother, but, uh, also wildly suspicious he was told to stop looking for her?
NEW AMSTERDAM: Max. WHAT DID YOU DO? I get why he wanted to protect his friends; I do. But as he noted, he won’t be able to protect them soon. He threw other people he cares about under the bus. (CASEY, COME BACK.) Iggy was barely holding on prior to this. Floyd was doing okay, romantic-life-bleeding-into-work aside. And Bloom, well, Casey was right: her buying a spot for her girlfriend into the program remains such an absolute disservice, because all of Leyla’s accomplishments will be overshadowed by this.
(Uh, was anyone quasi-suspicious Fuentes set the whole thing up as a way to blackmail Max into doing what she wanted?)
Also, with like a half-dozen shows doing ransomware episodes, I’m so intrigued if any real-life hospitals have taken steps to have have physical records so they aren’t in the position these shows are. (But this one may have been the most disturbing?? That robot surgery going awry is going to haunt me in my nightmares.)
FBI: MOST WANTED: Holy twist-y episode?! Family annihilators are terrifying, period, but seeing it play out was chilling. And I absolutely did not guess the woman Cecil was obsessed with was his biological daughter. What a truly messed up hour of TV. (I mean that in the nicest possible way.)
