LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT: Donal Logue to Return
November 29, 2021 by Marisa Roffman
LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT is welcoming back more familiar faces in season 23: Donal Logue, who last appeared on the drama in 2015, will return as Lieutenant Declan Murphy, a rep for the show confirmed.
Murphy—who briefly was the boss at the Special Victims Unit and is the father of Rollins’ (Kelli Giddish) oldest daughter—comes back to ask the squad for help with a hate crimes case, as attacks are popping up around New York City.
The episode also brings back Sergeant Khaldun (Ari’el Stachel), who got close to Rollins during the previous cases they worked together.
The duo are the latest to return to the long-running drama this year, with former regulars Danny Pino, Dann Florek, and Tamara Tunie already guest-starring in season 23.
Logue and Stachel’s episode will air in early 2022.
TVLine was first to report the casting.
