LAW & ORDER Adds Camryn Manheim
December 10, 2021 by Marisa Roffman
LAW & ORDER has added a procedural vet to its cast: Camryn Manheim will be a series regular in the upcoming 21st season.
Manheim, who starred on THE PRACTICE from 1997-2004, will play Lt. Kate Dixon, a new character to the franchise. She joins the previously announced Anthony Anderson, Hugh Dancy, and Jeffrey Donovan. (Anderson is reprising a former L&O role; Dancy and Donovan are also playing new characters to the universe.)
According to NBC, the revival will “continue the classic bifurcated format that was created for its original run”—which ran from 1990-2010—and will once again examine “the police who investigate crime and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders.” Production on the series, which was created by Dick Wolf and is being run by Rick Eid, started this week in New York.
Manheim’s prior TV credits include STUMPTOWN, GHOST WHISPERER, and PERSON OF INTEREST.
Deadline was first to report the casting.
