HOW I MET YOUR FATHER: Hulu Releases Trailer for New Hilary Duff-Led Comedy
December 16, 2021 by Marisa Roffman
HOW I MET YOUR FATHER is coming to Hulu in January, and the streamer released a new, intriguing trailer for the comedy.
According to Hulu, “in the near future, Sophie (Hilary Duff) is telling her son the story of how she met his father: a story that catapults us back to the year 2021 where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.”
An immediate, fun, twist from the show’s HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER origins? Kim Cattrall, who plays the narrator, actually appears on screen as the older Sophie, rather than just doing a VO like Bob Saget did for the CBS comedy. (In HIMYM, when older Ted was shown, it was series star Josh Radnor in aging makeup.)

The series also stars Christopher Lowell, Francia Raisa, Tom Ainsley, Tien Tran, Suraj Sharma, Daniel Augustin, Ashley Reyes, and Josh Peck. HIMYF was co-created by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, with HIMYM helmer Pam Fryman returning to direct the new show. HIMYM co-creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas are also executive producers on this.
