NBC Sets Betty White Tribute Special

NBC has scheduled a new primetime special honoring TV icon Betty White.
CELEBRATING BETTY WHITE: AMERICA’S GOLDEN GIRL will air Monday, January 31 at 10/9c. According to NBC, “friends and stars will pay tribute to America’s comedy sweetheart in the special. The hour will include clips that best capture White’s irreverent tone, spirit and impeccable comedic timing that are a hallmark of her decades-long career.”
White, who passed away on December 31, 2021, starred on shows like THE GOLDEN GIRLS, MARY TYLER MOORE, and HOT IN CLEVELAND.
Update, Thursday, January 27: NBC has announced some of the notable people paying tribute to White, including President Joe Biden, Drew Barrymore, Valerie Bertinelli, Cher, Bryan Cranston, Ted Danson, Ellen DeGeneres, Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey, Ana Gasteyer, Goldie Hawn, Vicki Lawrence, Jane Leeves, Jay Leno, Anthony Mackie, Wendie Malick, Joel McHale, Tracy Morgan, Jean Smart, and Mary Steenburgen.
