LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME: Robin Lord Taylor Teases a Potential Interaction Between McClane and Jet

LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME’s McClane (Robin Lord Taylor) is officially in the thick of things—and possibly a little in over his head.

On one hand, the escaped convict is currently embedded with the Wheatleys, as Richard (Dylan McDermott) insists they should form a partnership, while his newfound connection with Angela (Tamara Taylor) is a little more…complex.

But McClane did initially intend to surrender to the police, negotiating that he be allowed to set up a fund for Kesha Jones, the young girl whose father died as a result of McClane’s hacking and then return to jail, before the Wheatleys intercepted him.

However there is one key player who McClane has only minimally interacted with: Jet (Ainsley Seiger), Organized Crime Control Bureau’s resident detective/hacker, who very clearly knew of McClane’s hacker alias Constantine before he officially crossed paths with the task force.

“Right when they said McClane’s name, she was there with all the facts,” Taylor points out in the video below. “Whether she respects what he was doing, she respects that he’s a genius at writing code. That’s his talent. He’s brilliant in that way.”

And while Taylor was coy about the circumstances, he allows “because of that, I think it’s pretty safe to say they’ll have some kind of interaction coming up in the future.”

Off-screen, Taylor is absolutely delighted to be back in the LAW & ORDER world, having previously guest-starred on the mothership three times and once on SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT.

“I get to have all of these wonderful scenes with Dylan McDermott, and then I get to have wonderful scenes with Chris [Meloni] and Danielle [Moné Truitt],” he gushes. “What a group of people. [It’s] ‘just pinch me’ moments…just know that behind my eyes, I’m internally freaking out.”

Taylor also notes he’d love to keep returning to the L&O world. “I’m going for a record,” he jokes. “I want ten [roles]! It’s iconic. And it’s been part of my life..I think my first episode was in 2005? So in some ways, it’s been almost 20 years of me dipping in and out of this world. How awesome is that?! It just doesn’t feel real sometimes; it’s so cool.”
