LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME: Jennifer Beals to Recur
January 31, 2022 by Marisa Roffman
Jennifer Beals is joining the final arc of LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME’s sophomore season, a rep for the show confirmed.
Beals will play the wife of Mykelti Williamson’s Preston Webb. (Webb was introduced in the season 2 premiere as a key figure in the Marcy Killers organization; the group, as well as Ron Cephas Jones‘ Congressman Leon Kilbride, will play into the show’s third pod.)
This marks a reunion for Beals and ORGANIZED CRIME showrunner Ilene Chaiken, who previously worked together on THE L WORD (which Chaiken co-created and Beals starred in); the duo also developed an adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s THE SEVEN HUSBANDS OF EVELYN HUGO for Freeform in 2019.
Currently, Beals is co-starring in THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT and THE L WORD: GENERATION Q. She previously starred in shows like SWAMP THING and THE CHICAGO CODE. (She also guest starred in a 2007 episode of LAW & ORDER.)
Deadline was first to report the casting.
