February 8, 2022 by Marisa Roffman
The LAW & ORDER revival premiere is getting supersized: “The Right Thing,” the first hour of what has been dubbed season 21, will have an extra five minutes of air time, running from 8:00-9:05 PM on Thursday, February 24.
The revival features returning stars Sam Waterston as District Attorney Jack McCoy and Anthony Anderson as Det. Kevin Bernard, as well as new stars Camryn Manheim as Lt. Kate Dixon, Jeffrey Donovan as Det. Frank Cosgrove, Hugh Dancy as Assistant District Attorney Nolan Price, and Odelya Halevi as Assistant District Attorney Samantha Maroun. Rick Eid—who previously ran L&O spinoff SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT and CHICAGO P.D., and is currently showrunning FBI—is running the new series.
With the new start time, LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT’s February return, “If I Knew Then What I Know Now,” will air from 9:05-10:02 PM. In the hour, “a young woman learning about her birth parents asks Benson for help. Carisi and Rollins weigh the risks of taking their relationship public.” (Lisa Joyce, Betty Buckley, and Ari’el Stachel will guest star in the hour.)
LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME’s return will similarly be shifted to air from 10:02-11:00. In “As Hubris is to Oedipus,” “the task force must race to save lives when Wheatley and McClane’s digital takeover shifts to a series of real-life bomb threats.”
