Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV…

CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER: To me, it wasn’t a real surprise Todrick was a superfan of BIG BROTHER? Most of the people there didn’t seem to get how things worked, and he had the presence of mind to memorize dates, etc.

With respect to Cynthia and Todrick, it didn’t really feel like there should be any other winner than Miesha? She was so overwhelmingly dominant in the house, so…

I CAN SEE YOUR VOICE: This was…maybe the worst game play of the series? It takes a special kind of (bad) skill to eliminate ALL four good singers first. I’m glad he at least was smart enough to escape the game with his $15k.

CHICAGO FIRE: It’s absolutely wild a first-time director was behind the episode? There was a big fire! A small fire! Animals! It was multiple (intentional) tones! But it was a lot of fun. And, also, kind of terrifying to realize smart home devices could accidentally derail emergency responders?

(But, Violet, noooooo. Run. This won’t end well.)

A MILLION LITTLE THINGS: Ohhhh boy, Gary and Maggie is about to get messy as hell. (And I really like Cam, even if it feels like he’s got the deck stacked against him.) And I’m so intrigued to see where Katherine’s new relationship goes. But, man, the Eddie and Rome stuff brought my heart the most joy Both men have had so much thrown at them, but seeing their little tropical pool-side set-up and water antics really made me happy.

CHICAGO P.D.: Holy Tracy Spiridakos, man. Even excluding the stunt work for a moment—and the team did an incredible job—I can’t imagine how the tragedy of accidentally saving a violent criminal, while his victim perished, will stick with her. She never could have known, it’s in absolutely no way her fault, but that has to haunt you. I’m glad she was able to at least catch the criminal after he escaped the hospital.
