PASSWORD: Keke Palmer to Host NBC Revival
April 12, 2022 by Marisa Roffman
Keke Palmer has been tapped to host NBC’s revival of PASSWORD.
The series—executive produced by Jimmy Fallon, who will appear in each of season 1’s eight episodes—finds celebrity/contestant duos facing off “in the ultimate game of words,” by trying to guess a password by “using only one-word clues.”
Additionally, the premiere episode will be dedicated to Betty White, who was a regular participant in earlier versions of the series.
According to NBC, the first season of PASSWORD will conclude with “a special episode featuring a star-studded, all-celebrity lineup playing for charity.”
The original series launched in 1961, before being revived in 1979 and 1984. In the years since it’s been off the air, it’s been utilized as a game segment on LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON and THE TONIGHT SHOW.
The new take on PASSWORD is set to debut this summer.
