FBI, NAME THAT TUNE, FBI: MOST WANTED

“One Night Stand” – When a young couple is found murdered in a New York City park after returning from vacation, the team searches for a suspect linked to the drug trade. Also, Scola turns over a new leaf when it comes to his relationships, on the CBS Original series FBI, Tuesday, April 12 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.

Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!

FBI: Sorry to Scola, but the look that Tiff gave him when he revealed he hooked up with Nina and didn’t contact her after was perfect. Their partnership is genuinely so great—both fun and supportive, but willing to push the other when they’re not acting the way they should—so it was fun to see them get center stage. (But also, always, yes to the team going undercover.)

JUDGE STEVE HARVEY: Puking stories aren’t fun—no one needed to see those young men eating the fish, even if was to honor a bet, because that very easily could have gone awry, fast. No. Thank. You.

FBI: INTERNATIONAL: God, I feel awful for Vo. She’s had particularly terrible luck with people she cares about in the past few months, and I really, really wanted Nick to be a good guy for her. NOPE. I’m glad she didn’t do anything totally reckless in an attempt to save him and only had her job in jeopardy, rather than actually face serious consequences. Thank goodness she trusted her team to loop them in.

[For more on the episode, including that possible Vo secret, here’s what Vinessa Vidotto had to say about the hour.]

NAME THAT TUNE: Okay, I don’t care if it was pandering, the first three songs of Jennie Garth and Ian Ziering’s round being BEVERLY HILLS, 90210-centric made my heart happy. It wasn’t the best game, but it made me happy to see them together.

But, uh, the Shaggy and Kim Fields portion wasn’t much better, either. You’d think they’d balance out BAD contestants with a competitive game if they can mix/match lineups? Or even put a winner with a game where a contestant gets zero correct? It felt like an odd episode.

FBI: MOST WANTED: I know I cover approximately 90831 Dick Wolf shows, but for a nanosecond, did anyone else think Remy was going to reveal he was related to Richard Wheatley as his Big Secret? (Okay, it was probably just me.)

I’m glad Remy didn’t butt heads with the team, because it would have been very easy to see them clash after how Jess died and given how much turnover there has been. The case this week was messed. up. and I’m curious to see how things are as they start to learn each other and what works/what doesn’t.

[For more on the Remy reveal, here’s what Dylan McDermott and executive producer David Hudgins had to say about playing the card this quick into his run.]
