CHICAGO FIRE: Jesse Spencer to Return for Season 10 Finale

Jesse Spencer‘s Casey is officially returning for the CHICAGO FIRE season 10 finale, a rep for the show has confirmed.

Spencer, an original series star, exited the NBC drama in the show’s 200th episode, which aired earlier in the season. But even at the time, he and showrunner Derek Haas were clear the door was not shut for a possible return.

“I never try to predict what’s going to happen, production-wise, but we’re in the camp of whenever Jesse wants to come do an episode with us, we will move mountains and Earth to make that happen,” Haas told reporters at the time. “So we’ve been talking; we’ve got some ideas of what that would be.”

And a few months later at ONE CHICAGO DAY, Haas teased the show was heading toward a “memorable” finale.

“The Kidd-Severide build up has been a long time coming and the [wedding that’s ahead]…we’re CHICAGO FIRE,” he said at the time. “So if you think it’s gonna be one thing…it might not exactly happen the way all the characters have in mind.”

The CHICAGO FIRE season finale is set to air Wednesday, May 25 at 9/8c.
