ABC has released the first trailer for its potential THE ROOKIE spinoff, which kicks off on Sunday, April 24, with a two-part event.
In the backdoor pilot, “Simone,” “Officer John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) and the LA division of the FBI enlist the help of FBI trainee Simone Clark (Niecy Nash) when one of her former students is suspected of terrorism following an explosion at a local power station.” The hour was co-written by THE ROOKIE creator Alexi Hawley and his former CASTLE co-showrunner Terence Paul Winter, with Liz Friedlander directing.

Update (May 2): Giddish was unable to film the unofficial SVU-ORGANIZED CRIME crossover. Originally, it was “a girl power episode,” Truitt told Today. “It’s me, Jet, Captain Benson and Rollins…I love there’s so many women in this episode…on the case, getting stuff done.” Now, she wrote on Twitter, “It was when I said it. Then things changed. 🤷🏾♀️”
A rep for the show confirmed the change, with SVU star Octavio Pisano now appearing in the May 5 hour.
