CBS has ordered a reboot of TRUE LIES to series.
In the new take, “Shocked to discover that her bland and unremarkable computer consultant husband is a skilled international spy, an unfulfilled suburban housewife is propelled into a life of danger and adventure when she’s recruited to work alongside him to save the world as they try to revitalize their passionless marriage.”
The drama stars Steve Howey, Ginger Gonzaga, Erica Hernandez, Omar Miller, Mike O’Gorman, Annabella Didion, and Lucas Jaye. Matt Nix developed the series for television.
The original TRUE LIES was a 1994 James Cameron film, which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis; Cameron will be an executive producer on this series, along with Anthony Hemingway, Rae Sanchini, McG, Mary Viola, Corey Marsh, and Josh Levy. Sean Hoagland and Whitney Davis will serve as co-EPs.
