CHICAGO P.D.: LaRoyce Hawkins Teases ‘Conflict’ Within Intelligence
May 17, 2022 by Marisa Roffman
In the penultimate episode of CHICAGO P.D.’s season, Voight (Jason Beghe) and informant Anna (Carmela Zumbado) take the next step to take down Escano (José Zúñiga).
Unfortunately, during the course of an Intelligence investigation, Voight discovers something relevant to Anna’s undercover operation—and decides to withhold the information.
“Some of us aren’t going to love that, to be honest with you,” LaRoyce Hawkins (who plays Atwater) teases in the video below. “Where Voight is, in this moment, he knows that she’s sacrificed and probably invested the most. She’s in the most danger right now. So for him, he wants to do his best to protect her peace, which is why he doesn’t give her all of the data that one would think she would need in order to maintain intent.”
“I know Upton is one of the main characters who really feels like the more Anna understands the truth, probably the better she’ll be able to navigate her space,” he continues. “Voight doesn’t feel the same way, understandably so. And I think that conflict is going to create a very interesting moment.”
