TRANSPLANT Exclusive Clip: June Takes a Stand

After having a very rough stretch (including her watching her father die), TRANSPLANT’s June (Ayisha Issa) has (understandably) reached her limit.

On the Saturday, July 2 episode of the medical drama, after a shakeup at the hospital—and with Dr. Bishop (John Hannah) and Dr. Singh (Sugith Varughese) warring over her–June decides to stand up to the doctors.

“Dr. Singh, protecting me doesn’t mean holding me back from opportunities, just because you don’t like them,” June explains in the exclusive clip below.

She then turns her focus to Bishop: “If you really have my back, I need to know that when I say I’m overworked, you’re going to hear me—even if your initiative takes a hit.”

PASSWORD: NBC Sets August Launch, Sets Martin Short, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jon Hamm, and More Celebrity Guests

The upcoming PASSWORD revival will debut with a two-night premiere on Tuesday, August 9 at 10/9c and Wednesday, August 10 at 9/8c, NBC announced.

In the premiere, star Jimmy Fallon—who will appear in all of the season 1 episodes—and Jon Hamm will compete in an episode dedicated to Betty White. (White was a frequent celebrity player of the game, and was married to original PASSWORD host Allen Ludden.)

LOVE ISLAND: Sarah Hyland to Host Peacock Series

Peacock’s LOVE ISLAND has found its host: Sarah Hyland! (Arielle Vandenberg hosted the series for its three seasons on CBS.)

According to the streamer, the season “will be hotter than ever as Islanders couple up in new surroundings to compete in naughtier games and sexier challenges. Throughout their stay, temptations will rise and drama will ensue as Islanders are forced to decide if they want to remain with their current partners or ‘recouple’ with someone new. Islanders will also be at the mercy of viewers at home who vote to determine who gets another shot at love and who leaves the villa heartbroken and empty-handed.” LOVE ISLAND UK narrator Iain Stirling will bring his quips to the new Peacock season.

NBC Teases LA BREA Season 2

A day after LA BREA season 2 got a premiere date (Tuesday, September 27), NBC released new information—and a teaser—for the sophomore season.

In season 2, “the Harris family remains separated as Eve is reeling from her son, Josh, having mistakenly gone through a portal to 1988. What she doesn’t know yet is that her ex-husband, Gavin, and their daughter, Izzy, have landed in prehistoric Seattle and now must brave the elements and animals to make their way to L.A.”

Peacock has released a trailer for its new comedic thriller THE RESORT.

According to Peacock, the show is “a multi-generational, coming-of-age love story disguised as a fast-paced mystery about the disappointment of time. An anniversary trip puts a marriage to the test when the couple finds themselves embroiled in one of the Yucatan’s most bizarre unsolved mysteries that took place fifteen years prior.”

PAPER GIRLS: Prime Video Releases New Teaser for Graphic Novel Adaptation

Prime Video has released a teaser trailer for its upcoming adaptation of PAPER GIRLS.

The series—based on the comics of the same name by Brian K. Vaughan and Cliff Chiang—follows “four paper girls—Erin, Mac, Tiffany, and KJ—are out on their delivery route when they become caught in the crossfire between warring time-travelers, changing the course of their lives forever. Transported into the future, these girls must figure out a way to get back home to the past, a journey that will bring them face-to-face with the grown-up versions of themselves. While reconciling that their futures are far different than their 12-year-old selves imagined, they are being hunted by a militant faction of time-travelers known as the Old Watch, who have outlawed time travel so that they can stay in power. In order to survive, the girls will need to overcome their differences and learn to trust each other, and themselves.”
