FBI: MOST WANTED: Miguel Gomez Exits the CBS Drama

FBI: MOST WANTED is undergoing another casting shakeup: Miguel Gomez, who joined the CBS drama in season 2, will not return for season 4. (The series scored a two-season renewal in May.)

Gomez, who played Special Agent Ivan Ortiz, was not in the season 3 finale; the reason given for his absence was he was out of town taking care of his sick father.

This marks the latest team shakeup, as MOST WANTED has seen former regulars Julian McMahon, Kellan Lutz, and Nathaniel Arcand previously exited over the show’s first three seasons, with Dylan McDermott and Alexa Davalos (as well as Ortiz) joining post-season 1. (Keisha Castle-Hughes and Roxy Sternberg are the two remaining original series regulars.)

“I don’t think the core of the show ever really changes and it never will change,” FBI: MOST WANTED showruner David Hudgins said earlier this year. “It’s about getting these people and bringing them to justice, and doing it with the team in various iterations. We looked at it as, yes, it was challenging, but also it was an opportunity…We looked at it as an opportunity to explore other avenues with the characters.”

Deadline was first to report Gomez’ exit.
