Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

DON’T FORGET THE LYRICS!: It was interesting how this episode felt like it leaned significantly more toward older songs. The contestant handled it well, but it really is such a blind grab bag in how much you need to know in order to succeed on this show.

BEAT SHAZAM: Again, another week when a number of songs overlapped with DFTL?! I don’t think this is intentional, but it’s weird, and I wish they’d swap it up a bit more so they didn’t have the same song/artist on multiple shows in a single night.

I’m glad Andrew and Joe were able to pull it out in the final question, though. Them missing a few in the 1:1 round with Shazam (especially accidentally calling “My Hero” “Hero”) made me nervous, but they were able to take home over $200k.
