LAW & ORDER: Sam Waterston to Return for Season 22
June 7, 2022 by Marisa Roffman
Sam Waterston is staying with LAW & ORDER.
The actor, who originally signed a one-season deal to reprise his role of Jack McCoy on the NBC revival, will return for the upcoming 22nd season. This will mark his 18th season playing the character.
Waterston was joined by fellow L&O vet Anthony Anderson in the first revival season; Anderson will not be back next year. LAW & ORDER also stars Hugh Dancy, Jeffrey Donovan, Odelya Halevi, and Camryn Manheim. Rick Eid serves as showrunner.
Waterston had a very busy spring, starring in three different shows: L&O, THE DROPOUT, and GRACE AND FRANKIE. His previous TV credits also include THE NEWSROOM and GODLESS.
Deadline was first to report the news.
