THE ROOKIE: FEDS Adds Kevin Zegers
June 22, 2022 by Marisa Roffman
Kevin Zegers has joined new ABC drama THE ROOKIE: FEDS, a rep for the series has confirmed.
Zegers will play Brendon Acres, a new agent who is just out of Quantico. According to the official character description: “Brendon’s got a lot to prove in his first posting – not least because his background as the lead on the long-running TV series VAMPIRE COP means few people take him seriously. His years of method-actor training led not only to martial arts and gun skills, but also a master’s in computer science.”
The new ABC drama follows “Simone Clark (Niecy Nash-Betts), the oldest rookie in the FBI Academy.” The series—from co-creators Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter—was introduced via a two-episode backdoor pilot this spring, and also stars Frankie Faison as Christopher “Cutty” Clark, Felix Solis as Special Agent Matthew Garza, and Britt Robertson as Laura Stensen. (Kat Foster’s Agent Casey Fox, who appeared in the two episodes, will not be in the show moving forward.)
Zegers’ previous TV credits include REBEL, FEAR THE WALKING DEAD, NOTORIOUS, and GOSSIP GIRL.
Deadline was first to report the casting.
