About Last Night…DON’T FORGET THE LYRICS, BEAT SHAZAM, and CLAIM TO FAME
July 19, 2022 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!
DON’T FORGET THE LYRICS: Joey losing on “was” instead of “were”….hurts! (I mean, I knew he was wrong, but my screaming at the TV did no good.)
Similarly, losing on “the” when it should be “my”…OUCH. I guess this was a good pairing because both lost on singular words, but ow.
BEAT SHAZAM: Man, it has to suck to get to the final song, play it safe—which, let me be clear, I absolutely get—have to listen to the song and then know it instantly. I’m glad they got the $108k, but the “what if” has to be killing them.
CLAIM TO FAME: I don’t get how these people are playing the game! Outing each other gives everyone ammunition if they’re tasked with, and it means so many people are now essentially up for grabs. And how will the game play change when most of the people are essentially identified? (I’m also curious, if this gets a season 2—and I’m enjoying it—how the new batch of contestants might learn from possible mistakes being made here.)
But, hey, Pepper was right about “Michael” being related to Zendaya!
