Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

CLAIM TO FAME: I say this with absolute sincerity and true praise: This show is delightfully messy and fun.

So many of the moves don’t make sense! Louise has been known since, like, day 1! They’ve made no real move to take her out. Ditto Brittany, who has been known for a bit—they still opted to get out X.

And, look, to some degree, I get it: X sabotaged his entire team in the hopes he could take a swing and get Brittany out. They should not have trusted him, because clearly he was playing a selfish game. But it was a risk when everyone was pretty certain of Brittany’s ID, and X was still only a pretty good guess.

But I remain fascinated by how much people are helping each other. When all is said and done, I’m so curious whether it’ll pay off, or if the people who have kept to themselves and theorized quietly will be better off. Either way, I’m loving it.

I do have to say that the parting comments X—AKA M Lamar—made about how proud he was of his sister was an absolutely lovely moment. I don’t blame all of the contestants for getting emotional; his words of love for Laverne Cox were gorgeous. Good for the show for making sure they were heard by a national audience.
