CHICAGO P.D: Jesse Lee Soffer to Direct a Season 10 Episode

CHICAGO P.D. vet Jesse Lee Soffer will return to the NBC drama, off-screen, to make his directorial debut, a rep for the show confirmed. The hour—episode 16—will air in 2023.

Soffer, who exited CHICAGO P.D. in early October, played Jay Halstead for over nine seasons. In “A Good Man,” Halstead re-enlisted and left his wife and job to go to Bolivia.

“I want to thank the incredible fans for their unwavering support during the past 10 years and want to express my deepest gratitude to Dick Wolf and everyone at Wolf Entertainment, Peter Jankowski, Matt Olmstead, Derek Haas, Michael Brandt, Rick Eid, Gwen Sigan, NBC, Universal Television, my fellow castmates and our incredible crew,” Soffer said in a statement when his exit was announced in August. “To create this hour drama week after week has been a labor of love by everyone who touches the show. I will always be proud of my time as Det. Jay Halstead.”
