SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE: Aubrey Plaza and Amy Poehler Reprise Their PARKS & REC Characters on Weekend Update

There was a mini-PARKS & RECREATION reunion on the Saturday, January 21 episode of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE.

During host Aubrey Plaza‘s opening monologue, she showcased the set, as an homage to her days as a page on SNL. And when she noted tour goers frequently wanted to know if celebrities were around, Plaza’s former PARKS & REC co-star (and former SNL star) Amy Poehler popped up.

The duo reunited later in the show in Weekend Update, when Plaza reprised her role of April Ludgate and she brought out Poehler’s Leslie Knope. Leslie questioned Weekend Update co-host Colin Jost about doing the segment, and asked to do a joke herself. (Poehler notably co-hosted the SNL segment from 2004-08.)
