CHICAGO P.D.: NBC Teases the 200th Episode, ‘Trapped’

CHICAGO P.D.’s milestone 200th episode, “Trapped,” is set to air on Wednesday, February 22 (at 10/9c), and NBC released an official description of the hour.

According to the network, “After a brutal shooting, Burgess and Ruzek find themselves trapped aboard the busy ‘L’ subway train. As they piece together scant evidence, the team is drawn into a dark family drama. Burgess’ proximity to the shooting triggers harsh memories.”

As the logline alludes, the hour will be an emotional one for Burgess (Marina Squerciati). “We want to do something that gives credit to the fact that we’ve done this show for 10 years, and also to how many really talented people work on this show,” CHICAGO P.D. boss Gwen Sigan told Give Me My Remote in December. “And so we’re going to do a production feat…it will be a bit of an action movie, but also a very emotional Burgess storyline.”

“I’m excited for it,” she continued. “It’s going to be a fun, very challenging one, but I think we can do it…it’s really about Intelligence as it is now and how far these characters have come in the past 10 years.”
