Netflix Orders New Mike Schur-Ted Danson Comedy

THE GOOD PLACE’s Mike Schur and Ted Danson are reuniting for a new comedy, which Netflix has ordered straight to series. The first season will consist of eight episodes.

According to the streamer, “Charles (Danson), a retired man, gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad from a PI and becomes a mole in a secret investigation…The Untitled Mike Schur/Ted Danson comedy series, which is based on the documentary The Mole Agent, a 2021 Oscar nominee for Best Documentary feature.”

Danson’s TV credits include CHEERS, MR. MAYOR, FARGO, and DAMAGES. In addition to creating TGP, Schur co-created PARKS & RECREATION, BROOKLYN NINE-NINE, and RUTHERFORD FALLS.
