About Last Night…THE MASKED SINGER and A MILLION LITTLE THINGS
March 16, 2023 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!
THE MASKED SINGER: Look, the theme weeks are kind of weird at this point? It feels like sponsored content—I’m not saying it is; I don’t know—and it feels like a real stretch to justify it. And how do you have Jennifer Nettles on SESAME STREET and not on country?! It’d be one thing if it was weeks away, but it’s a single week away. Come on.
Anyway, the Malin reveal was a lot of fun, as was Ken’s dread when he realized he messed up. But as someone who feels increasingly old, I’m very sorry to admit I have no clue who Lele Pons is. But she sounded great!
A MILLION LITTLE THINGS: Greta and Katherine!!! PROTECT THEM AT ALL COSTS, WRITERS, PLEASE.
I was overjoyed to finally see Delilah (albeit via FaceTime), and can’t wait until she comes back to deal with this mess, because, boy, is this overdue. Eddie has a whole freaking child out there that he barely knows. And I understand it’s hard to contend with that on-screen, because you’d have to show actors you don’t have access to, but he’s missed so much of his daughter’s life (so far) and so rarely do we get to see what toll, if any, that’s taking on him. Now, with D planning her permanent exodus, I hope we can see them figure something out.
I’m also glad we didn’t have a wildly extended labor sequence for Maggie. And that it all came together well with barely any issues. (I regret to tell you I laughed hard at Gary trying to look up Braxton Hicks contractions and getting sidetracked by Toni Braxton. Good taste, sir.)
