Though Michael Tow previously guest starred on a couple of episodes of LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT (playing Counselor Josh Wang in season 21), when he landed the role of LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME’s Wen Shao, it was clear it was going to be a different experience.
“This was a much larger role and much more heavy lifting,” Tow tells Give Me My Remote. “That was quite special. And I actually didn’t realize how large the role was until I was cast.”

Comments Off on CHICAGO MED: Brian Tee on Getting to Shake Up the Show’s Look for His Directorial Debut
Brian Tee returns to CHICAGO MED with the Wednesday, March 29 hour, “Know When to Hold and Know When to Fold,” in a very different capacity: directing!
After playing doctor Ethan Choi for more than seven seasons (prior to his December exit), stepping behind the camera on CHICAGO MED was a natural evolution. Though this marks Tee’s network directorial debut, he had been prepping for the experience during his duration on the show, shadowing directors and learning about the post-production process.
“I think I used my time [on the show] wisely,” Tee tells Give Me My Remote. “People were incredibly gracious, both on and off set, to allow me to learn from them.”
Here, he talks about returning to MED in a different capacity, previews the unique directing style opportunities the hour brought him, and praises the “wonderful” way Ethan left the series. Read more

Comments Off on Couch Madness Final Round: ‘New Normal’
In honor of the NCAA tournament season, Give Me My Remote is bringing back our TV-centric bracket, pitting similarly titled episodes against each other: Couch Madness! (Credit for the excellent name goes to fellow reporter Chris Hayner.)
The seeding is simple: rather than quality of the hour, we’re going by air date (with the oldest episode getting the #1 slot and the newest getting #8). With Peak TV, this will not include every single show that has used this title; rather, we picked a selection from what was available.
We’re now up to the final round, with voting running from Monday, March 27 through Friday, March 31.
Last up? “New Normal.” Keep reading for the bracket, episode descriptions (from IMDB), and the poll. (For the other episodes competing, check out all the brackets here!) Read more
