Couch Madness Final Round: 'Memento Mori'

In honor of the NCAA tournament season, Give Me My Remote is bringing back our TV-centric bracket, pitting similarly titled episodes against each other: Couch Madness! (Credit for the excellent name goes to fellow reporter Chris Hayner.)

The seeding is simple: rather than quality of the hour, we’re going by air date (with the oldest episode getting the #1 slot and the newest getting #8). With Peak TV, this will not include every single show that has used this title; rather, we picked a selection from what was available.

We’re now up to the final round, with voting running from Monday, March 27 through Friday, March 31.

Next up? “Memento Mori.” Keep reading for the bracket, episode descriptions (from IMDB), and the poll. (For the other episodes competing, check out all the brackets here!) Read more

The Equalizer Robyn Fisk

“Patriot Game” – After an operative kills all but one of the employees at a marine biology research group, McCall and the team join forces with Colton Fisk when they discover a connection between the murders and a secret CIA program he was involved in, on the CBS Original series THE EQUALIZER, Sunday, March 26 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+*. Donal Logue guest stars as Colton Fisk. Pictured (L-R): Donal Logue as Colton Fisk and Queen Latifah as Robyn McCall. Photo: Michael Greenberg/CBS ©2023 CBS Broadcasting, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

Fisk (Donal Logue) returns on the Sunday, March 26 episode of THE EQUALIZER, and, naturally, things are going awry.

“Anytime Fisk is part of the show, you know trouble is not far behind,” THE EQUALIZER co-showrunner Adam Glass previously teased. “If he’s there, that means things have escalated to a point where it’s gotten big enough that Fisk has come around.”

Unfortunately for the team, things go bad fast in “Patriot Game,” when employees at a marine biology research group are murdered…and Fisk is close by.
