About Last Night…FBI, THE ROOKIE, FBI: MOST WANTED
April 26, 2023 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!
FBI: Oh, Maggie. Look, it was a terrible idea to have her sister do the undercover work for the team, but I’m extremely glad she was able to maintain her sobriety—even if Maggie didn’t believe her.
But…man, I don’t know how Maggie and Erin come back from this. It’s fair that Maggie was frustrated, understandable she didn’t believe her, but there were harsh words exchanged. I’m glad Erin stood up for herself and said she wasn’t going to leave, but I can also understand if the two are a bit estranged after this. (Fingers crossed this doesn’t send Erin down a bad path.) Missy Peregrym and Adrienne Rose Bengtsson were excellent in their scenes together, though.
THE ROOKIE: Loved how well Melissa O’Neil and Michael Rooker played off each other as Lucy went undercover.
Look, I know I’m essentially trained to be suspicious of characters being happy on TV, but Lucy and Tim are so happy and doing so well with their transition to a couple that I’m worried about what the finale brings for them. They’re TALKING ABOUT THEIR EMOTIONS. They’re being honest about what went wrong in past relationships. They’re actively trying to make this work. (Please let it keep working.)
Literally laughed out loud at the dance challenge (and it getting interrupted), though.
FBI: MOST WANTED: Oh, WTF. (And I mean that in the best way.) I know this was (loosely) based on a real fertility doctor who secretly used his own genetic material to impregnate a bunch of unwilling/unaware women, but I was still surprised by the twist. I cannot imagine being married for years and discovering your spouse is actually your half-sibling. Not saying the doctor deserved it, but…
Well, Remy just had his entire world shaken up. I understand the comfort in believing the story that was told to him, but it’ll be interesting to see how he reacts (in the big and small ways) as he tries to figure out what really happened to his brother.
