LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT and ORGANIZED CRIME Set Three-Episode Crossover Finale Arc
April 28, 2023 by Marisa Roffman
The LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT and ORGANIZED CRIME worlds are intertwining with a three-episode crossover kicking off on the Thursday, May 11 episode of OC.
In “Shadowërk,” “When DNA from an SVU rape investigation connects to an OCCB unsolved murder, Stabler and Benson uncover a revenge-for-hire scheme on the dark web. While Bell and Jet follow the money trail to expose the website’s anonymous creator, Stabler asks Professor Rollins for help with a key clue.”
In addition to SVU vet Kelli Giddish guest starring in the episode, SVU’s Mariska Hargitay also appears—as does Goya Robles, who played Oscar Papa in the BX9 arc on SVU earlier this year. (For those who need a refresher, the gang BX9 brutally attacked Olivia in front of her home—and son—and ultimately killed Duarte. But Oscar Papa vowed to back down and leave Olivia alone.)
But then it’s all hands on deck on the Thursday, May 18 season 24 finale of SVU and season 3 finale of OC.
In the SVU hour (per the new loglines from TVLine), “All Pain Is One Malady,” “In the search for a revenge-for-hire crime ring, Benson and Stabler combine forces on a case that has now spread globally. Fin and Bruno help a rape victim assaulted a second time. Jet’s plan to hack the dark web backfires and puts the team in danger.”
And then on OC, “With Many Names,” “As OCCB and SVU close in on a callous and desperate suspect, the U.S. Attorney benches Stabler and Benson; Bell and Fin must lead the team on a perilous task; Rollins confronts a witness who refuses to cooperate.”
Though they’re keeping quiet about which stars will appear in each finale episode (outside of who appears in the loglines), Octavio Pisano previously teased his character, Velasco, would be teaming up with OC’s Reyes (played by Rick Gonzalez.) And SVU stars Molly Burnett, Jasmine Batchelor, and Kadia Saraf posted photos on the ORGANIZED CRIME set this week.
(Also noteworthy: While the May 11 episode of SVU is not an official part of the crossover, Christopher Meloni will appear in the hour.)
