THE VOICE: Gina Miles Reflects on Winning Season 23

THE VOICE crowned its season 23 winner on Tuesday, May 23: Team Niall’s Gina Miles!

“It’s been a very crazy time,” Miles tells Give Me My Remote in the video below. “I feel like I haven’t had that much time to really get myself together. It’s really fun and I’m really excited to be here…it’s super cool.”

While it might have been understandable if the singer had been nervous waiting for the results during the show, Miles was “just really happy to be there at all.”

“I was smiling and laughing, because I just was like, ‘This is insane that I’m top 2 with Grace West,'” she recalls. “It was just a really fun time. And then they called my name, and I was done laughing. Because I was like, ‘Oh.’ I just was not expecting that, but also it was really crazy!”

Which, yes, led to an instantly iconic reaction shot of Miles when she found out she was the champion.

“I’ve seen it all over Twitter…it’s really funny and literally my parents keep sending it to me,” she says with a laugh. “They just think it’s the funniest thing.”
