Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!

MASTERCHEF: As much as I love fair food, this was a tough week, because there were so many contestants; it was hard to really get a feel for who was doing well and who was flailing.

But them competing in regions is fascinating, because it certainly feels like the elimination might not have gone the way it did if it was every person for themselves. I hope this sticks around for a while, because it’ll be a lot of potential strategy, too.

GORDON RAMSAY’S FOOD STARS: Oh, the yellow team got MESSY. Throwing each other under the bus before the grilling even started? Yikes. It sucks, but it seemed clear that Queen was the right person to go home this week. While edits are always a little suspect on reality shows—yes, we saw Megan repeatedly remind Queen they needed to set the table—there’s no disputing the insane amount of undercooked fish that got served.

But, I’m sorry, Aaron, a big NOPE to kicking the fish. WTF.

I’m glad the red team’s, uh, detour in getting them to the axe throwing didn’t derail them. They were a lot more competent, overall, too.
