On Friday, September 10, 1993, Fox debuted THE X-FILES. Now, ahead of the show’s 30th anniversary, Give Me My Remote is looking back at all 11 seasons (and the two feature films) in a new daily series Take Two.
If you’ve read About Last Night, this will be formatted in a similar way: Each episode will get its own subsection/reaction, though in this case there may be slight spoilers or alluding to what comes ahead in the series. In the event a major spoiler is discussed, there will be a warning to be extra safe. Each Take Two will cover approximately 5 episodes and will wrap up the Friday before the show’s 30th birthday.
(I’ll also note how I’m watching the episodes, because some of the streaming platforms have utilized syndicated cuts of this show.)

The Wolf Entertainment shows are no stranger to high-stakes, far-reaching crossovers within the FBI, ONE CHICAGO, and LAW & ORDER franchises. But the creative teams behind the dramas—as well Elliot Wolf, representing the upcoming Prime Video series ON CALL—reunited (and united) outside of the Universal lot for an important reason: To show their support for the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
“A few of us writers from the Dick Wolf show got together and decided to do a reunion picket,” Christina Piña, who wrote on LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME season 3, as well as serving as a WGA captain at the Universal lot, tells Give Me My Remote. “We all know each other, we’re all friends, we all hang out. So that’s why we’re here today.”

Comments Off on NBC Sets Fall 2023 Premiere Dates
With the ongoing labor dispute impacting the television industry, NBC has tweaked its fall lineup and officially set its fall premiere dates.
Most notably changing is the entirety of the ONE CHICAGO and mini-LAW & ORDER block—with no new episodes in the can, and no timetable for a return to production (the studios have yet to agree to meet with the writers or actors again after their contracts lapsed), the Wolf Entertainment dramas officially will not launch during NBC’s early fall run. (LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME was always set to be a midseason show.)
Additionally, the sophomore season of NIGHT COURT and new comedy EXTENDED FAMILY have been moved off the early fall schedule, and will also air at a TBA date.
