Fox Cancels WELCOME TO FLATCH
October 6, 2023 by Marisa Roffman
WELCOME TO FLATCH has been canceled, showrunner Jenny Bicks announced. (The network has confirmed the cancellation via a statement below.)
“It is with a broken heart and a Barbarita that I announce the untimely demise of Welcome To Flatch,” Bicks wrote on Twitter. “I am fiercely proud of the show and all the insanely talented folks who made it happen. Thank you @paulfeig, my partner in crime.”
“[T]hank you to all the fans who loved us, including but not limited to The NY Times, the LA Times and my parents,” she continued in a second message. “Flatch will always live on in our hearts. Remember to be kind to one another and if you want a pontoon boat, buy it.”
“The comedy WELCOME TO FLATCH will not be returning to FOX for a third season,” the network said. “While audience response was not as strong as we had hoped, we were thrilled with the creativity of the enormously talented Jenny Bicks and Paul Feig, as well as the outstanding, dedicated cast and crew they assembled. We look forward to collaborating with them again in the future and are thankful for all of our partners at Lionsgate, Jenny’s Perkins Street Productions, Paul’s Feigco Entertainment, BBC Studios’ Angie Stephenson, and Charlie Cooper and Daisy May Cooper.”
The mockumentary series starred Holmes, Sam Straley, Justin Linville, Taylor Ortega, Krystal Smith, Aya Cash, Seann William Scott, and Jaime Pressly.
