About Last Night…THE VOICE, KITCHEN NIGHTMARES, and THE IRRATIONAL

Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

THE VOICE: The best thing about the hybrid Battle/Knockout episodes is that John making his steal was quasi-a surprise. Like, I expected it to come because he was blatant about it, but I was also looking at the clock and wondering if they would play that card that soon. A little bit of mystery!

I do not love the three-way Knockouts, though. I appreciate the save is back, but two-way Knockouts felt at least fairer, both short-term and long-term.

KITCHEN NIGHTMARE: Sometimes I wonder how places stayed in business before the overhaul…Juicy Box was one of them. The juicer wasn’t working? Things were slow and wildly wrong? I can’t imagine people returned, so…

But it seems like they just needed help, so I do hope the new equipment and advice help them long-term.

THE IRRATIONAL: Well, I loved Rose and Alec’s date?! 24 hours together is wild, but them being investigative partners was absolutely precious and an unforgettable/unique encounter.

I also loved seeing Marisa and Kylie’s awkward attempts to try and navigate their relationship post-Marisa’s relationship with Alec. It would make sense their friendship would be changed by the divorce, but I hope they can get some things back on track. (And, yes, I do hope Marisa and Alec can find their way back to each other, but who knows how long that will take, and they deserve that friendship with or without him.)
